This trip is for everyone, and especially designed for those wanting to benefit from group travel without the commitment of daily group activities. There are two full days on your own to do as you please and two days of guided group excursions. It's a great blend of independent and group travel.


ITINERARY

Day 1 (Jan 27th) - Arrive Panama City Arrive in vibrant Panama City, Panama (Tocumen International Airport - PTY), where a friendly airport representative welcomes you on arrival. Enjoy a smooth hotel transfer and seamless check-in at your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax, recover from your journey or begin soaking in Panama City’s lively atmosphere at your own pace. Accommodation at Hotel RIU Plaza. Day 2 (Jan 28th) - Day at Leisure After a relaxed breakfast, enjoy a full day at leisure to explore Panama City at your own pace. Wander through lively neighborhoods, discover local cafés, shop for souvenirs or simply unwind and soak in the city’s vibe.

Day 3 (Jan 29th) - Half Day City and Panama Canal Tour

Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a self-arranged transfer to the meeting point for your guided pickup. Set out on a panoramic city tour of Panama City, passing notable landmarks such as the former U.S. military base at Clayton and the Monument to Goethals, which honors the vision behind the Panama Canal. The highlight of the day is a visit to the Miraflores Visitor Center, where you’ll watch massive ships navigate the Panama Canal from the observation deck—an awe-inspiring display of engineering brilliance. Continue with a peaceful walk through the gardens of the iconic BioMuseo (exterior view), followed by a scenic drive along the Amador Causeway, offering stunning views of the Bridge of the Americas. Conclude with a guided walking tour of Casco Viejo, exploring its cobblestone streets, historic plazas, and colonial charm before returning to the drop-off point. Then, make your way independently to the hotel for an overnight stay.


Day 4 (Jan 30th) - Day Trip to Embera Village and Visit to Waterfalls

After breakfast, make your way independently to the meeting point for your pickup and set off on an enriching journey into the lush Chagres Rainforest. Just an hour from the city, reach a remote indigenous Embera Village, accessible only with a guide, offering an authentic cultural encounter. Enjoy a guided rainforest walk, passing through verdant trails and refreshing waterfalls, before arriving at the village. Receive a warm welcome from the Embera community as your guide translates and shares insights into their traditions, language, and daily life. Watch skilled artisans create beautiful handicrafts and browse handmade souvenirs. Savor a traditional Embera lunch featuring fried fish, plantains, and fresh tropical fruit. Later, return to the nearest designated drop-off point from where you proceed to the hotel independently.


Days 5 (Jan 31st) - Day at Leisure

After a relaxed breakfast, enjoy a full day at leisure to explore Panama at your own pace. Wander through lively neighborhoods, discover local cafés, shop for souvenirs, or simply unwind and soak in the city’s vibe. You're invited to join your travel agent for dinner to celebrate her birthday at a local restaurant (details to follow)🥳🎂🎈🍷🎊.


Day 6 (Feb 1st) - Depart Panama

After a relaxed morning breakfast, complete your hotel check-out and enjoy a comfortable airport transfer. Bid farewell to Panama as you depart with cherished memories of vibrant culture, scenic landscapes, and unforgettable experiences, marking the smooth conclusion of your journey.


Hotel: Hotel RIU Plaza Panama OR Similar

The Hotel Riu Plaza Panama is a 4-star, 644-room hotel in the heart of Panama City’s financial district. It is highly regarded for its central location about 20 minutes from Tocumen International Airport and convenient walking distance to Iglesia del Carmen and Vía Argentina subway stations. It boasts spacious rooms, three (3) onsite restaurants (one with an extensive breakfast buffet), a sushi lounge and two (2) bars (including a poolside bar).

This trip includes:

  • Five (5) nights accommodation at the hotel in Panama City

  • Daily breakfast at the hotel

  • Transfer from the Airport to the Hotel on a Private Basis

  • HALF-DAY City and Panama Canal Tour with an English-speaking guide and return transfers on a shared basis

  • Day trip to Embera village and Waterfall with Entrance to the Chagres National Park, with Lunch, an English-speaking guide, and return transfers on a shared

  • Transfer from the Hotel back to the Airport on a Private Basis


This trip excludes:

  • Airfare (travel agent will assist with flights as needed)

  • Travel Insurance

  • Early Check-in / Check-out at the hotels

  • Meals other than those specified

  • Pre and Post nights hotel stay

  • Any Optional Tours

  • Tips for guides, drivers, maids, waiters, etc.

  • All other expenses not mentioned in the cost include

Pricing Details & Terms:

Double Occupancy - $1599 per person (incl $30 reservation fee)

Single Occupancy -  $2465 (incl $30 reservation fee) subject to availability

Deposit - $200 per person.


***A $30 per person non refundable room reservation fee is required to hold your spot, paid to the travel agent. Upon receiving your reservation fee, the travel agent will request your room be added to the group and you will receive a payment link to pay your deposit and future payments. Installment payments are accepted.


***Final payment is due no later than November 27, 2026***


There is a limited number of rooms available at this rate so it's first come, first serve.


TRAVEL INSURANCE:

Travel insurance is not included in the price of the tour. It is strongly recommended that clients purchase trip protection insurance to protect themselves against cancellation due to unforseen circumstances prior to or during travel. In the event a traveler becomes ill during a tour and has not purchased insurance, all hospital and medical expenses incurred are the traveler's responsibility. Based on the tour operator’s current cancellation policies the passenger may incur up to 100% cancellation penalties and should protect themselves with cancellation insurance. The travel agent will provide additional information and a quote for travel insurance during the booking process.


Insurance MUST be purchased within 14 days of individual client deposits or payments being made and only covers non-refundable client money held by the tour operator.


Cancellation Charges

Deposits are non-refundable. However, if canceled more than 60 days before the travel date, you can transfer it to another date or trip. If canceled less than 60 days before the trip, deposits are non-refundable and nontransferable. For the balance amount, the below cancellation fee will be applicable:
